As a commercial breeder Jo always strictly culled for temperament and selected for fertility, ease of calving, structure, efficiency and performance.
As a bloodstock producer that selection pressure is now even more stringent.
At Vesco, calves are typically born easily at an average weight of between 25 and 30 Kilograms
These calves grow very quickly into sappy in-demand vealers weighing between 250 and 300 kilograms at 8 to 9 months.
Steers can be grown on to reach 400 kilograms between 12 and 15 months of age ... perfect for the domestic supermarket trade.
Vesco Square Meaters will stand any inspection.

All bulls and most stud females have been Gene Star tested.
Vesco cattle have won many championships at the Toowoomba and Brisbane Royal Shows and amazed cattle breeders at regional shows across Queensland's south east with their early maturity, docility and obvious carcass traits.

Vesco bulls and females have been sold into Northern New South Wales to breeders seeking to capitalise on their outcross bloodlines, superb temperament and obvious do-ability.
Vesco has sold bulls into a commercial Brahman herd in far north Queensland and a Blonde d'Aquitaine herd on the Sunshine Coast to improve marbling, fertility and maturity patterns.

They are not miniature cattle, but compact, efficient producers of quality young beef for today's premium domestic market.
